NEOSS's Annual Adopt-A-Family Program Underway for another year

Updated: Oct 31, 2022

The holiday season for many is not a joyous and exciting time of year, but rather a time of year when they feel the most alone and a time of year when they feel the most inadequate. These feelings are largely due to the fact that they know they will not be able to make their children's or family member's wishes come true and they may not even be able to provide a traditional Christmas meal. Each family comes from a unique background and a unique set of circumstances. They may be struggling to deal with the loss of a loved one, they may be leaving a domestic violence situation, they may be working through a mental health problem, and the list goes on. One thing that each of these families has in common is their desire to have a wonderful holiday season. This is where you come in; you can help them enjoy the holidays by signing up to adopt-a-family.

The NEOSS Adopt-A-Family program aims to alleviate some of the stress and worry for our clients by pairing them with an adopter. The adopter can be an individual, a family, a group of co-workers or a club and they have the option to choose the family size and whether they would like to supply the family with a meal, gifts or both. If this is something you would like to participate in for the 2022 holiday season, please download and complete the adopter form and submit it back to NEOSS by November 21, 2022. Please note that we will only be accepting 25 adopters and spots will be filled on a first come, first serve basis so get your forms in quickly. You will be notified of your family details as soon as possible after your form is handed in. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime. You can reach out to Jennifer at 306-752-9464 or by email to adm@neoss.ca .
